N.S.S –NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
About NSS:-
:-The scheme was launched in Gandhiji‘s Centenary year -1969.
:-Aimed at developing student’s personality through community service
:-NSS is voluntary association of young people in college, Universities and +2 level.
:-The cardinal Principle of the NSS program is to get a sense of involvement in the task of National Building.
:-Organized by the students and teachers through their combined participation in community service .
Objectives:-
:-To enable the students to understand the understand the community in which the work .
:-To understand themselves in relation to there community.
:-To identify the needs and problems of the community an the solution to them.
:-To develop competence required for group living and sharing responsivilities.
:-To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
:-To encourage national integration and develop the capacity to meet emergencies and national disasters.
VISION
- To know the community in which they work.
- To ascertain the needs and problems of the community and involve them to develop problem solving skills.
- To grow amount themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
- To grow competence required for group –living and sharing of responsibility.
MISSION
- The motto of NSS “Not me but you” reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. NSS helps students develop appreciation to others points of view and also consideration to other living beings.
